On the street, in theatres and in the air, Dislocate have audiences spellbound with their unique combination of circus, theatre and humour.

Predominantly acrobatic aerial theatre, Dislocate was born out of the desire to produce relevant art presented in an absurd form. Combining the physically exciting form of circus with the intricacies of language in a theatrical context, Dislocate's unique humour challenges the audience emotionally, mentally and physically.

Dislocate was founded in 1998 by Geoffrey Dunstan and Kate Fryer. Together they have successfully produced works to suit almost any performance venue. They have created solo and duo aerial acts, large outdoor works, corporate spectacles and physical theatre productions. The company has toured the world on numerous occasions with productions including Risk Reduction, The Arrivalists, Mission Improbable, 3 Speed Crunch Box, La Familia, Growing Up, The Million Dollar Mermaid, The Has Beens and new roving street theatre piece Quiet on Set.

Dislocate’s production The Key premiered as part of the Full Tilt Programme at the Arts Centre, Melbourne in November 2006.  Their new work for family audiences Curiosity premieres again at the Arts Centre in September 2010.

Dislocate are in creative development for their new theatre work Unit 4 in 2011.
