Mozes
Mozes is an aerialist with a dark sense of humour. He began his training in 1996 at the Circus Space in London. Upon his return to Australia he continued with an obsessive training regime, hanging trapeze from various trees and bridges in Melbourne. Such extreme practices have resulted in a highly skilled, unique and precise style of aerial performance, heavily influenced by traditional circus.
Recently, Mozes has been training with Anna Schleper, refining a new swinging trapeze act and performed in Pasion sin punales at Teatro Circo Price (Madrid, Spain) in July 2009. He was a touring company member and collaborator with acrobat from 1999 to 2008 touring to Europe, UK, La Reunion,Singapore, Brazil and around Australia. Mozes has also performed with La Clique, Circus Monoxide, The Snuff Puppets and Circus Oz.
Mozes performs corde de lisse (rope/web), static and swinging trapeze.
On stage, they perform as they are. The content and the form are one, the show is a window open on their lives. They reveal their intimacy, wedding, life as a couple, housework, disease... "They tell their difficulties to live a simple and free life in a prescriptive society." adds their manager. You are not far from punk. For that matter, Mozes has a creast on his head... It's raw. You balance between contemplation and action, between laughters, absurdness and darkness. Always with a huge sense of self derision. A quality that fails so much to French artists.
