Synarcade Audio-Visuals is an award-winning collective of emerging Australian artists that focuses on creating innovative multimedia work that combines theatre, film and music in unique ways. Synarcade's mission is two-fold: 1) to give emerging Australian artists the opportunity to create work of the highest professional calibre 2) to develop cutting-edge new art forms that deal with interactivity, technology and multi-media, yet still engage with a broad Australian audience.

Synarcade Audio-Visuals was founded by Artisitic Director, Mark Bolotin, in 2003 and has created numerous interactive works in Australia including the pioneering “Emergence: Build Your Own Being”, an interactive multimedia show where audiences could decide the character traits of their ideal being and then watch it come alive. “Emergence: Build Your Own Being” premiered in 2007 at the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Arts House and Canberra Street Theatre to great critical and public acclaim. [“Fascinating” The Age, “A unique and groundbreaking artistic and cultural phenomenon” Metro Screen, “Compelling” Canberra Times]. Synarcade Audio-Visuals has also done multimedia work for the Sydney Festival (2005-2009), Sydney Children’s Festival, Sydney Writer’s Festival, Cockatoo Island Festival and created live visuals for some of the world’s leading musical acts including Jamie Lidell (UK), Buraka Som Sistema (Portugal), Throwing Muses (US), Four Tet (UK), Shapeshifter (NZ) and Entropic (Aus).
